St. Petersburg Highlights with the Salvador Dali Museum and Lunch

St. Petersburg, once declared “America’s healthiest place to live” is the home of St. Petersburg, once declared “America’s healthiest place to live” is the home of numerous treasures, both historic and artistic. A drive through downtown reflects St. Petersburg during the “Landboom Era.” Some of the treasures include the old Detroit Hotel, the open air Post Office and the grand old Coliseum. A highlight is the stop at the famous Salvador Dali Museum, which has the largest collection of Dali works in North America. A docent will explain how and when the collection arrived in St. Petersburg and describe some interesting anecdotes about the paintings, his life and influences on his work. Enjoy lunch at a unique downtown restaurant.
