Autism Speaks 400 Travel Package
Even though Dover International Speedway in Delaware isn’t exactly in the heart of NASCAR country, “The Monster Mile” is one of the sport’s iconic racetracks and has a long and storied history. The first two runnings of what is now called the Autism Speaks 400 presented by Hershey’s Milk and Milkshakes were won by none other than “The King,” Richard Petty. That was back in ’69 and ’70, and now recent stars like Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson and Matt Kenseth have visited the winner’s circle at Dover. With one of the higher purses on the NASCAR circuit, the Autism Speaks 400 always brings out the best in the drivers. Kyle Busch picked up more than $327,000 for the win last time, which is quite a bit better than the meager $4,725 that Richard Petty took home in ’69.
Dover is a unique track because it is exactly one-mile long, which is part of why it earned its nickname as the Monster Mile. Its configuration allows drivers reach higher speeds compared to a short track, and although it’s not as fast as a superspeedway (meaning at least two miles around), it offers the perfect combination of speed and tight turns that results in frequent lead changes and sometimes spectacular crashes. With one of our Autism Speaks 400 travel packages you’ll get hotel accommodations, transportation to the racetrack and of course Autism Speaks 400 tickets. We make it easy so that you don’t have to worry about tickets being sold out or hotels being all booked up. We take care of all those details for you, so all you need to do is have a great time at Dover.
The Autism Speaks 400 is one of two Sprint Cup races held at Dover, and Premiere Sports Travel can also send you to the other one with a Dover 400 (also known as the AAA 400) travel package. We also have NASCAR packages for all the races on the circuit, including those at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Pocono Raceway.
