Sylvania 300 Packages
The Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway is the traditional kick off of the Chase for the Sprint Cup and that always makes it a special race. Each of the 12 drivers who qualify for the Chase will be looking to get off to a hot start in the 10 races what will determine the next Sprint Cup Champion. That makes this race much more important than it was prior to 2004 when the Chase for the Sprint Cup was inaugurated. Of course that has caused a big surge in the popularity of Sylvania 300 tickets and Sylvania 300 travel packages.
When the first Chase for the Sprint Cup kicked off in ’04, no one was really sure how the new format would play out and there was some question about whether it was the right move for NASCAR. But the first race proved that the concept was solid, as that year’s Sylvania 300 featured plenty of aggressive driving (including a two-lap penalty for Jeff Gordon) before Kurt Busch came out on top. Busch went on to win the Chase for the Sprint Cup (or Nextel Cup at that time) and that proved the value of getting a good start at New Hampshire.
