St. Louis Rams History
It’s easy to wonder if the St. Louis Rams are regretting the firing of Mike Martz. True, the Rams never went to the Super Bowl in the last few years of the Martz regime, but they were always somewhere in the mix, and they were always good for an offensive show and quirky play calling. Lately, it’s been anything but an offensive show in the Edward Jones Dome. Where have you gone “Greatest Show on Turf?” In two years under Scott Linehan the Rams have won 11 games, winning only three in 2007. But Linehan seems committed to fixing the problems in St. Louis. The Rams are actively looking for a replacement for the aging Isaac Bruce, Steven Jackson is still in his prime, and plans are in the works to bolster a leaky defensive secondary. Another factor in the Rams favor is the NFC West. The Arizona Cardinals are mired in the desert and the Seattle Seahawks face an uncertain future with Mike Holmgren in limbo.
