Call it Qwest Field, call it Seattle Seahawks Stadium, call it “where the Kingdome used to be” but you’ll have to call a long ways ahead to get a seat in this venue. The Seattle Seahawks have been plugging away in Qwest Field since 2002 and fans are used to packing the bleachers to see their team knock off the opposition in the NFC West. Seattle has been on a run, routinely winning their division and sending visiting teams packing with a loss. The parade of Pro Bowl players on the field for the Seahawks, including quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and running back Shaun Alexander, has taken the Seahawks all the way to the Super Bowl. Few teams in the NFL can match Seattle’s success in Qwest Field.

Qwest Field is quite an impressive place. The stadium was built to put football fans as close to the action as possible so every seat offers a great view. The crowd appreciates it too. Before every game a flag with the number 12 is raised as a tribute to the fan participation that makes Qwest Field an intimidating place to play. If you have to consider one stadium to visit on a trip devoted to sports, think hard about Qwest Field.
